The worship of God is the central act of the church. When we gather as a community for worship it is a time and place for us to know the presence of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and to consider the goodness, justice, power and wisdom of our good God.
A look at our liturgy—the pattern of our worship together—shows that worship begins with God’s gracious movement towards us: God calls us to worship; he tells us of the forgiveness of our sins; he speaks his word of comfort, rebuke, and encouragement; he feeds us at Holy Communion.
Because of these gracious acts of God towards us in worship, we are enabled to respond to him in worship and in life: when God invites us in to his presence, we can enter; as he forgives our sins, we praise his grace to us in Jesus Christ; we tremble at his threats and believe his promises; we eat and drink at the table he has set for us; and when he sends us out into the world renewed to be his people.
We invite you to join us for worship no matter where you are spiritually—skeptical or curious about Christianity, or a committed follower of Jesus Christ—and we look forward to serving you.
